Our Story

The Rural Revival Association in Almishtaya Village emerged from deeply rooted traditions of social solidarity, where charitable works and mutual support among the village’s residents—both local and expatriate—naturally inspired successive grassroots initiatives. These individuals have served as unsung heroes, dedicating themselves wholeheartedly to the village’s development over decades. Their efforts are reflected in tangible projects that continue to stand as testaments to their generosity, such as:

Construction of the Primary School (1948), marking the first cornerstone in education.

Paving and Constructing Village Roads through collective volunteer efforts (1960).

In 1965, these endeavors took on a formal, organized structure with the establishment of the “The Revival Association of Almishtaya” as a charitable, social, urban, and cultural entity, officially registered under No. (819) with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor. The association comprises 85 general assembly members and an elected board of directors, including a president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and three members.

Notable Achievements

Construction of the Preparatory School (1970), later transformed into a service complex housing the municipality building, health clinic, communal bakery, school hall, and kindergarten.

Building a Perimeter Wall and Canopy for the Village Cemetery.

Publishing an Annual Calendar showcasing the village’s landmarks and cooperative achievements.

Diverse Cultural and Social Activities integrated into an annual budget approved by a certified accountant.

Active Participation in the Annual “Cleanliness Week” (on August 1st), an environmental initiative to promote community awareness.

Support for Students Pursuing Certifications through financial and moral programs to ease academic burdens and honor high achievers to foster academic excellence.

Establishing a Medical Warehouse equipped with hospital beds, oxygen cylinders, and mobility aids to provide immediate, tangible health support for needy families.

Future Vision

The association aims to strengthen bonds among the village’s residents, both within the homeland and abroad, while preserving their national and humanitarian heritage. It seeks to develop modernized projects aligned with contemporary needs and deepen collaboration with expatriates in the U.S., Australia, and elsewhere to support sustainable service and urban initiatives. Through this unity, the Rural Revival Association remains a symbol of charitable legacy, embodying the power of community when efforts unite for the common good. It stands as a model for turning challenges into opportunities to give back.
